Hey friends, happy Thursday! 💕😊
With the release of the Tunisian in the Round Earwarmer kits this week, I've been thinking about how and why I named each pattern. In my last post, I discussed how the Cana Earwarmer got its name.
Next up is the Lystra Earwarmer.
This pattern is worked in The Tunisian Lattice Stitch which is a variation of the Tunisian Simple Stitch. The lattice stitch gives the finished piece a nice texture that's pleasing to the eye and soft to the touch.
Fun fact: It is so far the best selling patterns of all the patterns in the kits. 🙌
So anyway, I chose the name 'Lystra' because it starts with the same letter as the stitch name and because it sounded nice😄 Plus I wanted to stick with the places-in-the-Bible theme 😏 😂😂
But really, Lystra is important in the Bible because it is one of the places that the Apostle Paul preached to the gentiles. I think there was a miracle or two recorded here as well.
That's it! 😄😄
Thanks for reading! 💕
